The Book of Signs – Science in the Qur’an
September 30 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
In just one hour, this former NASA scientist will enumerate the Qur’anic revelations from 1,400 years ago that square with the many modern discoveries we have made in the past 150 years.
These scientific signs are in the disciplines of astronomy, physics, oceanography, geology, geography, molecular biology, botany, zoology, theoretical physics, and embryology.
This talk by Abdul Hye Ph.D., an aerospace engineer & Qur’an translator into English, challenges the notion that scientific and religious knowledge are incompatible and, thereby, mutually exclusive.
4 p.m. to 5 p.m. | Saturday, Sept. 30 | MCC Conference Room
Dr. Abdul Hye has a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from University of Windsor in Canada. He has lived in Houston since 1981. His professional experience has included more than 28 years of aerospace experience for NASA’s Johnson Space Center’s Space Station, Space Shuttle, and Spacelab. He is the author of several technical papers and he owns one U.S. patent. He has written 20 books about Islam and comparative religion.
Dr. Hye recently translated an easy-to-read version of the Qur’an in English, which has now been translated into Spanish and French.
